Isn't this only 1.1gb? Surely it will be nuked? The DVDRip is probably only a week away anyhow.

Everyone understands that the shit is free.

I've been waiting for a decent release of this film.
It appears this is not one.

V: 7.5 Seemed a little cropped (top/bottom) but this was when compared to the 4:3 release. This may be what happens with wide screen when two formats are released? It doesn't detract at all so it's no problem.

A: 9.5 Excellent dynamic range & very clear, maybe a little on the low level though.

M: 8.0 A pretty good story & although three hours long it does keep your interest! Probably a bit too violent & graphic at times though!

A: 8 - A little tinny and distorted during fight scenes.
M: 7 - More a philosophical life story than super hero movie. I was only disappointed because of that.

Over all, pretty good release. Pretty good movie. I give it 1 & 1/2 thumbs ^

V: 6 - Pixelated, fuzzy for a DVDSCR, choppy framerate.
A: 8 - Good
M: 10 - Fantastic. But I did read the comic, so I'm biased.

Regarding the DC/Theatrical comments, the DC is approximately 25 minutes longer and includes a very good amount of additional footage -- unlike most movies where the additional footage is in one or two places, the DC of this includes an additional 10-15 seconds in a lot of scenes. Most of what is re-added is really meant for the comic fans though, and while it does make the movie slightly more understandable for people who haven't read it, the additional 30 minute time investment pulls that right back...

Very good copy if you want to see the extended edition, even if the video is slightly pixelated and fuzzy.

Yes, this is noticably flickery/staggering in parts but still was just about watchable/bearable for me to not download the shorter version (which is probably only slightly better quality). The sound seemed fine if a little quiet/loud in places - could benefit from normalising although might just be my 5.1 setup. This version of the movie is almost 3 hours, so not sure if the added bits are worth it. Make sure you allocate enough time to sit through it! I have mixed feelings about the movie itself, not sure if I would recommend it for all but if you do like over the top comic book action and occasional, unexpected gratuitous violence then perhaps this is for you. Overall, I've seen much worse...
